#ArtForMoreTreesAn exhibition of TSUMIKI by Kengo Kuma x More Trees, Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto <坂本 龍一 >founded a charity called "More Trees” in Japan, which focuses its efforts on forest conservation - they essentially work with designers to create wooden design objects out of trees that have been discarded and deemed unsaleable. As they want to have more awareness in the USA in the art/design community about what they do as an organization, this time they come to NYC to showcase a product collaboration with Kengo Kuma <隈 研吾 >, the famous Japanese architect who created triangular wooden building blocks for them.
Melting Butter Studios helped them to curate 3 local artists who will be exhibiting their installation works inside BDDW. Opening night Tuesday February 28th, 6-9pm. On show from February 28th - March 3rd.
